Spamming someone else's forums without regard to the rules is highly unprofessional. I suggest you read this page:

Bohol is such a wonderful place to visit and there's a lot about it to learn. Get a good tour guide like Rey Chiu, and it can also be very educational and enlightening.

We had a city tour on our 2nd day in Bohol and got back to the hotel at about 9:00 pm. We were all tired from the tour and had loads of kalamay and other pasalubongs with us, which were really heavy. Our van was stopped at the guardhouse and our driver was told his van was banned from entering the premises of the hotel because he failed to immediately put off the engine when asked, which was about 1 to 2 minutes. For that, they are asking all 11 of their guests, my group, to walk from the guardhouse all the way to the hotel. We were all in no condition to do that, tired as we were. So I asked to speak to the manager. It took the guard and whoever was on the line a long time to finally agree on allowing us passage. I demanded to talk to the manager as soon as we got to the front desk, and [an employee] came out, defiant and with such disdain on her face, which I could not believe possible, from someone assigned on the frontline. The owner was more empathic and apologetic, I am at least happy to say.

Alona Palm may be in the hotel industry whereas I come from the real estate industry - but there is ONE TRUTH that applies to ALL BUSINESSES - WE SHOULD TAKE CARE OF OUR CUSTOMERS - OR SOMEONE ELSE WILL. When we do that, customers become CLIENTS - meaning THEY COME BACK AND REFER family and friends. All 11 of us went home saying to each other that THIS HOTEL IS ONE PLACE WE ARE NOT RECOMMENDING to anyone.

Their evaluation sheet inside the villas said, "WE VALUE YOUR OPINION." I submitted mine at the front desk when we checked out and I sent the hotel an email to ensure the owner receives it. I hope this feedback can help make their place a better and friendlier place to stay.

I discussed this complaint with the owner of Alona Palm Beach, Michael Brunner. His story is that it is his policy to ask drivers to switch of their engines when waiting for passengers to arrive or leave their car or van, and that the driver in question refused to do so on more than one occasion. I believe asking this is a sane policy, good for the environment, and also for guests who do not like the tranquility of their stay disturbed by running engines and exhaust fumes. There is no good reason to let engines run stationary, even for one minute. I personally know the situation at the entrance of this resort, it is about 50 meters from the gate to the main building, so I feel some exaggeration here. Still, the owner wants to apologize for the inconvenience caused.--Jeroen.
