Adobong Baka (Beef)

IJsselstein, Tuesday, 18 March 2003 (updated: Friday, 28 March 2003)

Ingredients

1 kilos Beef, cut into bite size
1/4 teaspoon Ground Pepper
1/2 cupVinegar
1/2 cupSoy sauce
1 cloveGarlic, minced
1/4 teaspoonSalt
1 tablespoonSugar
1Bay leaf
10 Peppercorns
1/3 cup or 75 mlCooking oil
Tomatoes and twigs of parsley to garnish

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and marinate for 30 minutes. Simmer and cover tightly until meat is tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. In an frying pan , heat cooking oil and fry meat until golden brown on all sides. Transfer to a serving dish. When it is done, pour off all remaining oil from skillet. Put sauce(where the meat were cooked) and cook for a few minutes more.
  3. Pour sauce over meat and serve. Garnish with tomatoes and parsley. Serve hot.
