The most convenient way to get to Bohol from the neighboring islands is by fast ferry. Fast ferries offer a high speed passenger service, often using Singapore or Danish built catamaran type motorboats. These have a cruising speed of about 50 kilometers per hour.

| Mariz, I took the Supercat. The pier was in Cebu. It took about 35 minutes by taxi. The cost is pretty low. You can try to negotiate for your fare, or ask for a meter. As long as you know the pier #, the taxi driver will be able to take you there. |

| For additional info, it would be best to contact the ferry company. Supercat, you can get/pay your ticket through to GO branches. If you have inquiries, you can email Supercat they will reply back with in 3 days for your inquiries. Oceanjet - bank to bank payments, call them for more details. they're veru accomodating. Unfortunately, they do not have any office here in manila. |

| Molly, I'm just back from Bohol. I took the fast ferry to Tubigon, 200 pesos. After you buy the boat ticket you need to pay the terminal fee; 10 peso. The MV Starcraft leaves from Pier 1 three times a day; 5:45 AM, 11:15 AM & 1:45 PM. There are slower ferries that leave later from Pier 3. The fast ferry takes 45 minutes and the slow ones take 2 hours. To get to the ferries from the airport I took a taxi; set the price before you leave as it will be 'off meter' probably. I was with friends from Bohol who did the haggling for me. Hope this helps |

| hi, yes there are many fascraft going to bohol, every hour,it depends on your activities you want to do in bohol, if you want to have your bohol countryside tour, you can catch the 8AM/930AM supercat/oceanjet trip to tagbilaran city, then you have to considered also the place where you want to stay in bohol,if you want in panglao, its 30mins away from the city, then when you arrive late in tagbilaran city, you will have to hire a car for your transfer to your resort, unless your reservation has a free transfer, or you just want to stay in the city, you can have the 6PM/620PM oceanjet/weesam trip. for more assistance you can email me to louielent@yahoo.com |

There is neither a direct flight nor a passenger ship from Bohol to Iloilo or vice versa. You could take a boat from Iloilo to Cebu, and then onward to Bohol, or make three hops, going from Iloilo to Negros, Cebu, and then Bohol. This last route is probably the fastest.--Lyn |

The easiest way to go to Bohol from Panay is to fly to Cebu and then from Cebu, you can take a boat either to Tubigon or Tagbilaran.--Lyn |

The solution could be that you take the ferry from manilla to davao or that you take the bus from davao to cagayan de oro and then take the ferry from cagayan de oro to cebu. It leave every sunday, monday and wednesday. It cost 652.50 with superferry. |

| I'm planning to travel from Cebu to Boracay by ferry and land.
How do I go about doing it?
I plan to take a ferry from Cebu to Iloilo. Where do i book the ferry and what are their cost and timings?
From Ilo Ilo, i heard it is a 3 hour journey? Where do we find someone to drive us from Ilo Ilo to Caticlan? Any idea how much it costs?
From Caticlan, we would like to take a boat to Boracay.
Please let me know if this is a feasible option?
It can be done, but is not really fast. The boat from Cebu to Ilo-Ilo has to sail around the islands of Cebu and Negros, and thus takes a long time. The trip from Ilo-Ilo to Caticlan is more in the order of 5 hours. Easiest is to take a flight from Cebu to Kalibo (25 minutes), and then a bus to Caticlan. A better over land and sea alternative is to take two ferries, first to Negros, and then from Negros to Ilo-Ilo. But then, why not go to Bohol, from Cebu you can be there in a few hours only.--Jeroen. |

With cebu pacific air, it cost 2200php to go from zamboanga to cebu. Then, from cebu to tagbilaran, you would take the supercat fast ferry for 300php to go. Double all the cost to go and come back |

The central rooms are clean and quiet , with cable tv, hot water and telephone. 2 Casa juana (4113331 - CP Garcia Ave). These utilitarian rooms all come with air con and private bathroom for 500-700peso. The best way and most simple way is to rent a taxi for the day. It will cost 1200 to 1500 a day depending on your ability to bargain. The taxi will drive you to chocolate hills, tarsiers, loboc river and even more nicest places. You will be able to see all those places in one day. One last thing, dont forget to go to panglao island. The beach there is magnificent and the water clear and nice. |

| No matter if you go from cebu or tagbilaran to suquijor, you need to stop at dumaguete. So, you can take any ferry to dumaguete and then take another ferry to siquijor. There is ferry every hour or so between dumaguete and siquijor. So you choose your favorite company to go to dumaguate and then pick the fastest ferry when you arrive there to go to siquijor |

| There is ferry to siquijor from tagbilaran, bohol. You will have to pay around 700pesos for go and come back for one person. The company is SRN fastcrafts, weesam express. They go in the morning and you arrive in siquijor in the afternoon. Its around 4-5hours to reach siquijor. To see the schedule: http://www.zimnet.com/weesam/php/booking.php. You can stay at siquijor at kiwi dive resort. For two people, it cost between300 and 600pesos a day for normal cottage. (http://www.kiwidiveresort.com/) The is also Islander's Paradise on the beach (0919 446 9982) but its little bit more expensive but under 800pesos a night. To visit siquijor you can rent motorbike for between 300-600 a day. In cebu, you can stay for 610 pesos (2 beds, aircon, private nice batroom)at Villa de mercedes (253 3320)(366 orchid street in uptown cebu city) |

Your best option to be there friday morning is Sulpicio line (http://www.sulpiciolines.com/ports.html) go from nasipit (butuan) thurdays night at 9pm and arrive in jagna (bohol) friday at 2am. It would be goood solution if you can have thursday off. Most ferry are on wednesday or saturday. So if you want to be there on friday its your best bet. |

| Hi. This site is great! Our office is planning on an outing from March 16-18 at Bohol. We plan to stay at Panglao. We'll be coming from Davao City. We'll drive (5-6 hours) from Davao to Cagayan de Oro on the night of the 15th (a Thursday) and from CDO, take a boat to Bohol (Tagbilaran or Jagna). But if that's not convenient, then we can do the via Cebu route or leave Davao early morning of the 16th. Would you be able to help with the boat scheds from CDO or Nasipit - both fast and regular ferries? From the scheds posted here, it seems there is no friday trip from cdo/nasipit to bohol. We want to maximize our weekend in Bohol and prefer to arrive at our hotel by Friday morning so we can spend the afternoon going around the place already. Thanks! |

| My wife and I have made this trip from Cebu to Bohol many times. My advice to anyone wanting to go to Bohol would be to only use Supercat or Oceanjet. The Weesam is so noisy that it will drive you mad. The craft are also not in very good condition. Go with Supercat if you can but remember to check-in 45 minutes before departure as this is when they allocate the seat numbers. |

| From Manila to Bohol, what is the easiest way to Bohol? Is it practical to fly Mla-Tagbiliran or Mla-Cebu? After this flight, ferry to here destinations? Cheaper hotel rates we can have? Thanks....
Flying from Manila direct to Tagbilaran is probably the most convenient route. If fully booked, you can fly to Cebu, and then take a fast craft to Tagbilaran, but that will take at least 3 hours more. A boat from Manila to Tagbilaran takes 25 hours. Rooms near Alona Beach start at about 500 pesos per night. These are not directly at the beach, though.--Jeroen. |

| Great website!
1. Which would you say is "better" than the other? I am going from Cebu to Tagbilaran so it would be helpful to know which craft on this route is better. 2. Oceanexpress is a little more costly, but through the photos in their website, it appears to me that only the oceanexpress vessel that goes Cebu-Tagbilaran has a deck. Is that precisely correct? I am particular with which vessel has a deck where passengers (tourist or businessclass) are allowed to stay. I get nautious inside the cabin. 3. Do you have contact numbers of their Manila offices? I know their websites are informative enough but I believe it still pays to speak with someone coz I have a lot of queries the site cannot answer. Thanks! I have no opinion on which fast crafts is better. Some do have decks, some don't. I like to have an deck, since they give me the opportunity to look at the sea and the islands we pass, and take some nice pictures. These decks can be quite windy, as those fast ferries go fast, upto 60 km per hour. The catamaran type of ferries mostly do not have accessible decks. I unfortunately have no other contact information than they provide on their website.--Jeroen. |

| My family is planning to travel to Davao & from Davao we will continue our trip to Bohol. Does anyone knows how far is Ocean Jet ferry terminal away from the airport? Pls. need your advice for the ideal beach resort to stay for a family like us who have 6 & 4 years old children. We want this trip to be unforgetable for them. Suzette
From Davao the easiest way to get to Bohol is probably to take a flight to Cebu, and take a taxi from their to the pier. If coming from Singapore, the SilkAir flight going to Davao will also stop in Cebu, and you may arrange to get out there. What is the ideal resort depends on your wishes. We stayed (with our 4 and 1 year old boys) at Flower Garden Resort, which is very good value for money, and includes cooking facilities, but a bit away from the beach and without aircon. Other nice locations are Sunapartelle (includes kitchen and aircon), Alona Palm Beach Resort (directly at beach, no kitchen), or Bohol Divers (directly at beach). Take your kids out to see the Tarsier (in Corella) and Dolphins, they will love it.--Jeroen. |

| As part of our vacation, we will be hopping from Tagbilaran city to Cebu city via these ferries, but don't know where the piers of these ferries are located. Does anyone have the address ? How can we purchase tickets in advance from Manila, to ensure that we get seats for the ferries ? Thanks. |

| Upon reaching Tagbilaran port, do you have any suggestion on how to avail cheap trips going to Chocolate Hills and Loboc river?
You’ll have to take tricycle or taxi to Dao bus Terminal. From there you can take either bus going to Talibon via Carmen (it will pass by Loboc), or with a jeepney to Loboc. From Loboc you can take the bus Going to Carmen where the famous Chocolate hills complex is located. Just ask the driver or conductor to drop you there. From the road, you’ll have to walk for about 200 meters. In Tagbilaran port itself, you can find quite alot of offers for a tour with this destinations. But they are more expensive than using regular buses.--Lyn |

| I saw on the WEESAM website.
All their Cebu-Tagbilaran trip were cancelled.
Is Ocean Jet the only one ferry service that travel the cebu Tagbilaran route... ???
Not all their Cebu to Tagbilaran route has been cancelled. They are now having 3 instead of 6 trips per day. There are some regular boats as well.---Lyn |

| I want to know how much the fare from tagbilaran city going to davao city either by plane or by boat. Will you
please email me back regarding this question? I would greatly appreciate for your help...
As far as I know, there is no direct flight or boat going to Davao from Tagbilaran or vice versa. Perphaps you can fly from Davao to Cebu, the fare is approximately Peso 2,600 plus some additional fees. From Cebu you take a boat to Tagbilaran or Tubigon, Bohol--Lyn |
