Clark's anemonefish (Amphiprion clarkii, Bennett, 1830) is the only species in this family that has a prolonged larval stadium. Hence it is widely spread. It can be found in large numbers in the areas where it occurs. It prefers to stay at protected reefs, from one to over fifty meters deep.
